That place is marvelous! Interior is cozy, a little bit tightly but that doesn't affect a whole expierence. Service is very kind and helpful. Atmosphere inside is on another level, you can smell the love for meatballs in the air! Menu is simple and that is sufficient. You have to wait in the line for a while to get in but it's worth. If you are in Stockholm and want to try a Swedish cuisine, that's a must have. Highly recommended!
We visited this spot in November and had an overall positive experience. The staff was friendly, the food was enjoyable, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Meatballswere flavorful, with a variety of options for different tastes and knowing the origin of the meat. While they weren’t the best we’ve ever had, they were definitely good.nnOne downside was the wait. Upon arrival, we stood in line for about 20 minutes before realizing we needed to register our name. Once we did, we were given an estimated wait time of 40 minutes. Fortunately, we found a nearby spot to grab a drink and returned after 40 minutes. Still, standing outside in the cold for an extended period would have been quite uncomfortable.nnA few suggestions to enhance the waiting experience: adding some outdoor heaters, standing tables, or even offering drinks to those waiting could make it much more pleasant. Additionally, the availability of just one toilet for such a busy venue not ideal.nnDespite this, the branding, ambiance, and excellent service stood out. We’d definitely come back, but ideally in warmer weather or with a reservation to avoid the long wait.
The place was absolutely amazing! Even when you enter at the restaurant you are hit by a cozy smell of food. We came to try out the traditional Swedish meatballs, and was amazed by the taste and there is a wide variety of meatball types. We tried garlic bread as well and I highly recommend it. Came back for dinner to try out the pasta, which was also tasty.
Despite its global acclaim and glowing recommendations from locals and tourists alike, this restaurant was a huge letdown for me.nnWe visited on a Saturday night at 9 PM, expecting a wait due to its popularity, and indeed, we waited about 30 minutes, which felt reasonable. However, the service quality was frustratingly inconsistent. One waiter was exceptionally kind, but another staff member—a lady—was shockingly rude, standing out as the most unpleasant interaction we had during our entire trip.nnWe ordered the chef’s special to try a variety of flavors, but the selection left much to be desired. The platter included chicken, beef, boar, and goat meatballs—nothing particularly unique or exciting. While the textures varied, every single one was overwhelmingly salty and carried a strong gamy flavor that made them taste far from fresh. The only redeeming dish was the moose meatballs, which we ordered separately.nnThe atmosphere didn’t help matters either. The music was so loud, and everyone seemed to be shouting just to be heard. At one point, my Apple Watch even notified me that the noise level was “harmful,” which says it all. I can see how this spot might appeal to younger crowds looking for a lively experience, but if you’re seeking high-quality food or a relaxed dining environment, this isn’t the place.nnFor the price and the wait, it simply isn’t worth it. I’d recommend skipping it altogether unless you’re curious to check it off your list.
We waited just over an hour for a seat here, service was disappointing as the servers were more focused on having a chat with each other rather than checking if the food was okay. If they would have bothered to check they would have realised my friend never received the glass of wine she ordered upon us getting seated. Food was yummy though, we had the classic and the reindeer, both were good. The atmosphere in there is fun too, I’m just unsure to whether it is worth the wait?
