If you are looking for a place to enjoy authentic and delicious Swedish meatballs, look no further than Meatballs for the people.nThis cozy and charming restaurant offers a variety of meatballs in different sauces and dishes, from the classic to the exotic. You can choose from pork, beef, chicken, moose, or vegetarian meatballs, and pair them with mashed potatoes, pasta, salad, or bread. Please remember to order smoked deer hearts as an appetizer.nThe portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.nI highly recommend the We Love Meatballs platter, which lets you sample four different kinds of meatballs with different sides. It was a feast for the senses and the stomach. Meatballs for the people is a must-visit for anyone who loves meatballs or wants to try something new and tasty.
Great place to taste Swedish meatballs. The Chef's Recommend gives you 4 different kinds of meat. I was surprised to find white meat tastier than red meat. They were softer and juicier, especially the chicken. The deer heart appetizer tasted like ham, with better texture. The restaurant was surprisingly busy for Tuesday. Recommended if you want to try Swedish meatballs--and Visby beers are excellent.
This is a great place to go if you want to try a variety of different Swedish meatballs. Many local restaurants may have one or two varieties but Meatball for the People have 8+ and they change depending on the season. They have a shared platter where you can try almost everything. We opted for the chef's choice which got us 4 kinds and their risotto which also included meatballs too. Everything was very good, my favorite was the chicken. The staff is really friendly and the place was super busy. There wasn't any wait when we went but we got the last seat and it was for an early dinner 5:30pm. The staff told us it's not unusually to have a line down the block. You can book a table ahead if you plan to go during prime dining hours to avoid waiting.
meatballs are awesome. a recommended place to experience authentic Swedish meatball other than ikea. open kitchen design can let you see the entire cooking process. playing retro pop songs. really great atmosphere. however, the staff is quite unaware about getting the order and paying the bills. it takes much longer to do that. not a pleasant experience on that.
Nice music, kind servers but it took 45min to get our food, even the garlic bread starter which was not very nice. The promise of 'meatballs for the people' is a bit deceitful since it seems that you can't choose your meatballs. The 2-people menu brings 16 meatballs but you can't choose them and the chef's choice, as the name suggests, also doesn't allow you to choose options.nWe got the classic ones + the chef's choice, which unsurprisingly brought the cheapest and most common options, with the premium one being only deer. Maybe we came at a bad time/day way too crowded + only 1 bathroom for the entire restaurant which probably sits around 50 people or more, so we can't really say that we would recommend this place considering that is not cheap.
