Enskede Värdshus

Enskede värdshus is a charming inn located in Enskede, Stockholm. I recently visited this place for their Christmas buffet and was blown away by the quality of the food and the service. The buffet had a wide variety of dishes, ranging from traditional Swedish Christmas food to international cuisine. The meatballs, herring, and Jansson’s Temptation were some of my favorites. The dessert table was also impressive, with a variety of cakes, pies, and sweets. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that everyone had a great time. The atmosphere was cozy and festive, with Christmas decorations and candles everywhere. I highly recommend Enskede värdshus for anyone looking for a memorable Christmas dining experience in Stockholm.

It was one of the best lunches I had in Stockholm for the last 10 years. Nice atmosphere, good service, and excellent food that is carefully prepared. Right amount of spices, you can see that kitchen staff knows the job and understand the food business.nHighly recommend this place . Food was probably tasty, but we wouldn't know about it seeing as it was permanently missing. The lunch buffet started at 11:30, we were there shortly after 12 and it was already empty. 20 minutes later and the only things re-stocked were shredded lettuce and corn apple pie was completely gone by 12:20, we didn't get to enjoy it. All around a disappointing experience.

We have eaten here many times over the years and the food and staff has always been good.

1: the person responsible for admission was not welcoming at all. We had a reservation for 3:30-5:30 and we arrived late and there was empty tables we could be seated and we would be fine to be admitted latebelieve me we would not mind having to deal with some empty containers on the buffet table as I will explain why but that person decided to make us wait starving for another 1:5 hours and ultimately paying 30% morewhich he could have explain that the next slot is more expensivenn2: the order of buffet table was not a favourable one: first we saw the cold dish, sea food, vegetarian table and we thought that’s it. After a while we learned there is another room with hot dish and meat food and at the end of that table there was the soup and appetisers!nnWith a good means of communication the experience would be way better for usknowing how critical to is to arrive on time with an email reminder for example, knowing the next slot price, and navigating by waitresses around the buffetnnThe vibe, the quality of food, decorations was on top. We ended up paying 100 euro each for a glass of sparkling wine and the food which wasn’t worth it. There was better and fancier options by this price for Christmas dinner.
