First Hotel Grand

Convenient location but expect to pay for parking as the hotel doesn’t have its own parking. The girl at the reception, the ladies at the breakfast and the cleaning team super attentive and polite. But the hotel is worn out and needs a lot of maintenance and deep cleaning especially the room we stayed in. Bathroom felt not clean, mould and rusty appliances and a bad smell coming from the toilet. There is a play room for children but again, need more care/cleaning. Good point: The breakfast space is fantastic and plenty of food choices.

I was happy with the room except for the following: There is no telephone in the room, so whenever guests need anything they have to go down to the reception to ask for them. The bathtub is unsafe to use as it has a glass swing panel without any labels warning users that the panel is not fixed. In addition, there was no non-slip mat. Many in my tour group were in their sixties and seventies, so this posed a hazard for them. Later, I found that several other hotels in Sweden and Norway had these unsafe bathtubs and either no phone or if they had a phone, the reception staff doesn’t answer when called. There is a need to correct these, especially the unsafe features in the bathroom. Safety and well-being of the guests should be top priority.

Great breakfast and nice staff. But the room was warm with no ventilation but the windows to the streets. The extra bed in the family room was so bad and noisy, nobody could sleep...

Beds seemed newer and were good - but rest of the room was dull, outdated and very worn out. And parking cost was high. Pity!nBecause the location was nice and the staff very friendly.

One of the worst hotels I have ever been. When we arrived we were given the card for our room and that is all: it seems like we were entitled to dinner, since some friends who were staying under the same conditions were given a voucher but we were never told about it...until the day after, when we had to ask for it. Not professional.nnIn the room, the bathroom setup was very poor and we missed details that would make our stay easier products, towels...nnMost importantly, the room was worn out and looked not acceptable, for this long-experienced hotel.nThe shuffleboard was in very bad state, missing pieces and not working properly. Dinner at the restaurant was good quality not for vegans, though but very mall amount for the price. Not worth it.nFor the price we paid, it is absolutely a non-come back. Very sad because we stayed there by recommendation-agreement but never again.
