Karlstad Swecamp Bomstadbaden

Cute place and big enough beach to enjoy the sun and a swim. The cabin was perfect. You could easily stay 6 people as there was one double bed, a bunkbed and a sofa that pulls out in the kitchen area.nnThe cabin was up to date and had a lovely porch with barbeque. Next to the cabin outside the door, there was free parking. The kitchen had everything you need to cook +dishwasher.nnCamping had a reception with a small shop. There were plenty of restrooms about and a restaurant.nnDog friendly with dog shower rooms and dog friendly beach + restaurant.

We were in a campervan and were late getting into Karlstad, but the campsite had staff on site who were able to help us out with a keycard and access to a site for our vehicle, as well as access to the service house. Facilities were all clean and easily accessible. Great lakefront view! They even let us take out kayaks, although it was only early May. Prices for everything were very reasonable, and the staff at the desk were very helpful with information about public transit and travel to Stockholm. Would recommend this place over the FirstCamp site down the road any day of the week. Best campsite in Sweden!

Nice camping at a scenic location. We stayed 3 night with the tent. One day kayaking on the lake, rented from the restaurant at the beach. Good facilities including kitchen area.

For me, my wife and our 1 year old child it was a very nice 7 day holiday in the rental cabin “Aspen”. Small but cosy and well equipped with kitchenette and useful utensils. A grill on the terrace was also a great advantage to us. Possible to park the car directly next to it. They also provided a child chair upon our request. The only downside of this cabin is the bunk bed for the one that sleeps on the top. It’s quite narrow to the ceiling. Could be quite a restriction for tall people. The campsite is rather decent, the sandy beach is really nice and I could see that they actually maintain it to be in neat condition because they drove with the tractor-pulled-rake over it. Overall a good choice not only for renting a cabin.

Stayed in a lovely little cottage, it was clean and had everything we needed. Could just do with some screens on the windows so can be kept open at night as it got very warm.nThe lake setting is beautiful, cycle hire very cheap and really good selection of food and pastries in the shop including doughnuts and konelbollen for Fika.
