Sirmione's Shipyard's museum and veteran boat jetty in Gislöv's harbor portrays and tells about the fisherman's profession by showing photos, fishing gear, boats and documentation from the beginning of the 20th century until the turn of the century around 2000. The oldest boat, Sirmione, built around 1915, is part of today's boat fleet and is still sailed. In the museum, Sirmione's Shipyard conducts cultural education and information for Trelleborg's municipality primary school pupils, in order in this way to take their cultural responsibility and inform future generations about the everyday life and traditions of the fishing profession. A number of different organizations and associations have also visited Sirmione's Naval Museum for the aforementioned training and information.
