Located within the Malmo Castle complex, the museum houses several different exhibits, including life sized animal aquariums, art galleries and history museum. More children friendly as the kids will enjoy the animal portions, but there are also historical and cultural portions. Expect to spend 2 to 3 hours here.
Allow around 2-3 hours if you want to see everything. The museum is VERY organized and flows rather well. Lots of interesting reads everywhere and you can really immerse yourself and imagine living in the olden times. Lots of well designed displays and immersive/interactive displays.nBeautiful and a must visit
Tell the counter if you are senior see-near ;, will pay for a much cheaper entrance. It is amazingly BIG!! One ticket can include the museum and the locomotive museum just about 5 minutes walk from the main one. It has many big and small lovely aquariums with many lovely fishes. Each has very good information of the species in the tank. Reptiles tanks are amazing too. Ancient dressing, paintings, DNA and past war exhibits...Many stuffed birds and mamals too. Certain part is quite deserted, good to go with another peeson. A great place that need at least 4-5 hours to visit the 2 places that offers so much fun and education.
Such a small but nice museum. It is very pleasant to see how in such a small city you can find a place that teaches you about animals, about sustainability, art. I liked particularly seeing some swedish posters from few years ago from schools and kindergartens. It actually made me thing, at the end of the day we are not all so different from each other.
Smashed my expectations, for the price there's so much to do. Really enjoyed the aquarium and the dinosaur section : They don't let you take backpacks in but they've got free lockers so no issues at all!
