Tycho Brahe Museum

Nice place. Museum, shop and brain teasers outdoors for everyone. The garden is well kept and very nice.

A nice museum in the middle of isle of ven. Tycho Brahe as I found out was known for his comprehensive and unprecedentedly accurate astronomical observation before the invention of telescopes. The museum describes his life and work and has a number of instalments replicating the ones used by Tycho in the 16th century. All information is available in English and Swedish.

Nice place to learn about astronomy history. Cute self-guided little museum. Not overly large but a nice spot to stop for lunch and a little break. There is a open area with some gardens/ orchards around it. It would be cool if they had some guides and fixed up the underground store rooms for people to walk through.

Admission is 80 sek for adults, Swedish money.nStudent and retired age 60 sek.

The museum is now located in the old church where they keep all the tools and materials från that time but they also use the old observatorium site across the road. There are several movies shows in the observatorium during the day so it is better you check it on their site. The ticket can be bought at the info point close to the church and includes both the entrance to the observatorium as well as in the church.
