Reviews
Im just reviewing the restaurant since i didn´t stay at the hotel but it dont have its separate review here:nnNice staff and we where all very happy with the food. A limited menu but we ate here twice and tried most disches and all where very good. Perfect place for a nice lunch when you are skiing in Sälen. a bit pricy perhaps but i think it was worth it
I say: OMG. The perfect hotel. Private. Personal. Elegant. Comfortable. Make it your choice if you are in the area. The lady that manages it is knowledgeable, agreable to talk to, friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu/buffet choices are exquisite and carefully chosen, burrata and French goat cheese, fig and pear marmalade, prosciuto and iberico, and many more, those are wow choices in any setting. The breads were home baked. The egg omelett was fluffy like a souffle. This is one of the very few fantastic breakfast menus I have seen and I have seen many. We also chose to dine in and we were flabbergasted. Great aperitifs, and amuse bouche. Excellent deer steak, rainbow trout, elk carpaccio and escargots. Real evoo at the table. Creme brulee and ice cream out of this world. Prices? If you make it here, prices are not an issue, but this will not destroy your budget. If you eat at a petrol station, you'll get cheaper food and fill your stomach, yes, but not this culinary experience because this is what it was. I will come back. Thank you for your help with our car too.
tldr: Do not eat here until they get their s**t together and fix some quite embarrassingly bad things about how they execute their menunnAll around a bad experience I work in the industry and could recognize alot of the products they used as bottom shelf quality especially stay away from the garlic bread it was a disgrace with both store bought bread and pesto what you're paying for is the fancy locale.nWhen you know the kinds of prices they're paying for the produce their profit margins are really shameful. It would ve okay if the food at least was prepared in a interesting way but the kitchen really going for the bare minimum when it came to preparing the dishes. And the worst part is you could really tell that there's huge potential in the concept which really saddens me. The gyosa pot stickers would have been amazing with a enriched umami sauce instead of plane mushroom soy sauce. The lobster roll would have really popped if it was made with a freshly baked new england style top spilt hot dog bun fried in some butter and not the newly thawed if i had to guess Brooklyn bun from korvbrödsbagaren. For the price and reputations of this restaurant attention to detail and not getting ripped of should be expected.
I really love the food and the whole experience was awesome. but don’t be shy and put some more food on my plate next time
Pizza’s like a frozen microwave pizza, They should be embarrassed to serve it. We ordered three pizzas and all were total failures.
