Möja Dansbana

When I visited in 99' with my Swedish friends, Caroline and I walked to explore and found this little building. A poster from the movie Babe about the Pig adorned the outside wall. It was a charming little find. Such a great memory from the visit.

This is so much more than a dance floor! It is run by the Möja Cultural Youth Movement MKU, which apart from dance evenings arranges various cultural activities all year round but mostly in the summer of course. We learned that after a boat trip from Stockholm from MKU's chairman Inger Olsson.nWas inspired, will probably take a boat trip there again, go to the cinema in the dance floor and maybe sleep over at the hostel...
