The shop is beautiful and very comfortable to sit in. It’s a great place to enjoy coffee, have work meetings, work, or read a book. The atmosphere inside is nice.nnThe coffee is decent. As for the shop’s famous Princess Cake, it looks great but is a bit too sweet for my taste. However, if you’re curious to try it, it’s still worth a visit.
A wonderful place for coffee or breakfast in Stockholm. Vete-Katten on Kungsgatan has a beautiful 1900s coffee house atmosphere that immediately makes you feel comfortable and relaxed.nnThe service was friendly and well organized. You order at the counter and then take your breakfast to the table, which works smoothly and efficiently.nnA very pleasant experience overall – definitely a café worth visiting if you enjoy classic ambience and a calm start to the day.
I was told that one cannot visit Sweden without experiencing good fika, and that Vete-Katten was the place to go to try authentic Swedish fika.nnSo of course, this is where we had to go to, and given how busy this cafe was, particularly with the locals, and how many people continued to stream in during our visit, clearly a lot of people agree.nnWe got the most traditional desserts, the Princess cake and the Budapest, and I also got the open-faced shrimp toast, as well as coffee.nnThe food was amazing. The cakes are made with fresh cream, and I appreciated how the sweetness of the fresh cream and marzipan in the Princess cake contrasted with the tartness of the berry compote. But I adored the Budapest and the nuttiness of the hazelnuts amidst the fresh cream. The shrimp toast comprised a generous portion of fresh shrimp cocktail, a whole boiled egg and vegetables on bread. It was delicious as well.nnCoffee was definitely one of the better ones we’ve had here as well.nnService-wise, you queue to order at counter and collect your food and coffee when ready. But it’s fast and efficient and I really can’t complain.nnThis is definitely a place I would recommend for the quintessential Swedish fika experience.
This was probably my favorite bakery during my trip to Stockholm. Although I went prior to close the selection was great and I highly enjoyed the different flavors. They offer mini cakes of their larger versions if you want to try a little bit of everything.
Such a beautiful place!!! Lovely and peaceful atmosphere, and the food + coffee was incredible. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend the Napoleon cake beautiful Parisian vibes
