Toptracer Headquarters

This review is about a bad experience with my first experience with toptracer at a local range. Was excited to try it out for the first time. I used to have a handicap below scratch and very knowledgeable on golf clubs, fitting, swing dynamic and using launch monitors.nnThe toptracer has to be the most useless launch monitor I have seen. Inaccurate to a large degree. The range had installed their monitors several months or so earlier.nnMonitors were absolute junk. One monitor wasn't working. Went to another monitor and a nice little fade bomb that penetrated and did not balloon and it told me like 230 carry and 250 yards total with 155 ball speed. Into the light wind it rolled out around 290 based on the back flag distance which I double checked. Monitor should have shown more than 290 as the breeze affected the shot some, not 230 or so carry and 250 yards. Over 40 yards short of actual distance.nnSimilar distance problem for other clubs. Fairway wood 20-30 yards short, hybrid 20 or so yards short. Sand Wedge fell a little short of the 115 flag into the breeze and it showed 100 yards.nnApparently no spin numbers are collected as it did show in the shot report. Impossible to determine distance without the spin numbers. Can be a 50 yard distance difference with the same driver ball speed dependent on launch and spin.nnSelecting the proper club in the top tracer made no improvement in the result.nnHad to pay double for the balls to use the monitor and brought my new driver to compare with my top two gamer drivers. Total waste of my time and money. Useless.nnNot to mention toptracer giving false data to other people. Total waste of technology and people's time. They should put a large sign on every bay telling people top tracer does not capture spin and is way off and useless for launch monitor purposes.

Great tool that gives a lot of valuable information. I have used it mostly indoors at Komethallen or Ullna hitting 40 m into a wall, and to be able to see the whole ball trajectory and not just the first 40 meters is awesome. Golf is no longer a seasonal sport in Sweden!
