Our experience at the University Hospital of Umeå was one of the most challenging times of our lives, but the exceptional care and compassion we received made all the difference. When my fiancé suffered a heart arrest, the rapid response and expertise of the medical team were nothing short of life-saving.nnFrom the moment he arrived, the staff in the Intensive Care Unit ICU acted with incredible professionalism and urgency. The doctors, nurses, and specialists worked seamlessly together, ensuring my fiancé received the best possible care. Their expertise was evident in every decision they made, and their calm demeanor helped to ease our fears during such a terrifying time.nnWhat stood out to me the most was the compassion and empathy shown by everyone at the hospital. The staff not only took care of my fiancé but also provided me with much-needed support. They were patient in explaining every step of the treatment, answering my countless questions, and offering reassurance when I needed it most. The level of communication was outstanding, and I always felt informed and involved in the care process. I want to give special thanks to Pehr Elfuendal, Fredik Sundstrain, Frederick Valham and ALL the amazing nurses there like Caroline, Jessica and the others I can’t remember the names right now.nnThe facilities at the University Hospital of Umeå are top-notch, and it’s clear that they prioritize the well-being and comfort of both patients and their families. The ICU was well-equipped, and the environment was as peaceful as it could be, given the circumstances.nnWhile no one ever wants to find themselves in a situation like this, I am incredibly grateful that we were in the hands of such a skilled and compassionate team. The care my fiancé received at the University Hospital of Umeå was instrumental in his recovery, and I cannot thank the staff enough for their dedication and kindness during one of the most difficult times in our lives.nI live in Miami, and the last thing I want to say is that the University Hospital of Umeå is the best in the world, better than any other because the compassion and kindness of the staff.

The care and treatment provided are of high quality and the hospital has for several years been top ranked as one of the best university hospital in Sweden. It is also responsible for the National Specialised Medical Care of brachial plexus injuries and has the medical responsibility for the Swedish National Air Medevac, SNAM, and have operational responsibility for the Swedish air ambulance. The Centre is the result of a close collaboration between the department of Pediatrics , the Heart Centre, Department of internal medicine and Clinical genetics. CCG provides expertise in the assessment of different disease phenotypes, as well as genetic analysis and evaluation. CCG receive patient referrals from all parts of Sweden, and in particular, genetic samples are sent from all parts of Sweden. The Centre, represented by Stellan Mörner, has been invited by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare to provide expert knowledge in the Board’s work on Swedish national guidelines for cardiac care, resulting in high priorities concerning investigation of patients and families with monogenic cardiovascular disease. The department of Clinical Genetics offers complete genetic analysis, with massive parallel sequencing technology NGS in clinical routine.

i was in the hospital having a cancer tumor removed from my left kidney and i can honestly say i dont think you would have gotten better care any were in the world all the nurses that helped me and the surgeon that operated absolutely amazing there 1 million stars all the way thanks to all concerned i will be back with your boxes of chocolates on my next visit in a few weeks xx

dysfuctional system, you can not carry out proper high quality healthcare on remote. Through phone and mail. Extremely disappointed with Swedish healthcare.

One of the worst hospitals I have ever been to. For a foreigner it’s extremely hard to figure out where you need to go since there is no reception on the entrance. I have been here twice with my child for an emergency and both times it took hours until a doctor would even have a look. The staff also wasn’t very friendly. It felt in general like there was only two or three doctors working in the entire hospital. Very frustrating!
