Uppsala Hotel Apartments

Be careful when making a reservation with this hotel on their website. They do not apply their own T&C‘s in case you need to cancel your reservation or no-show. Instead they send misleading emails and try to implement rules to their own benefit that are different to the conditions mentioned in their reservation confirmation. Screenshot them as there might not be a confirmation by email. Be prepared to have endless discussions with them being very creative and force you to legally act differnet cancel reservation with no lead time vs. no-show. They will come up with their own understanding and initially refuse to refund. Make clear that your position is not negotiable and stick to it, in my case they accepted my request which was aligned with their T&C‘s. But this hick-hack sucks and is bad client communication. Finally I can‘t recommend to book this hotel as due to my experience they are unreliable and argue in their own financial benefits. This includes wrong statements that are not covered by their T&C‘s and story telling. Lucky you if you paid by credit card and chargeback is an option.

Horrible experience. The WiFi was often nonexistent. Common areas not always clean. No playground for the many families with children. The bed is uncomfortable. It is UNSAFE. My car was broken into and sabotaged. When I informed the staff of this they became very defensive and we're not willing to review the security camera video. Some of the staff there also persecuted me.

The rooms are great but as I was informed just now from the reception, are not private. They think they have the right to enter whenever they want to.nTheir handyman came earlier this morning and I told him to come after 1 pm because I was working at the moment.nHe came back as 4.45 pm as I had just fell asleep and opened the door with his own key because I didn't answer.nThe reception told me he had every right to do so. She even had a good laugh with the people that was there when I left. Heard them loud and clear.nSo I could be naked in my own room, that I am paying for, and he can enter whenever he wants to. We, unfortunately, will have to stay here for one more month, as we have paid for it. Will NEVER be coming back.nI feel absolutely violated and outraged.nBe very carefull.nAnd the cleaning service they promise on a weekly base.. yeah, they come when they feel like it or if you repeatedly ask for it.nAlso, no toasters as they promise because of fire hazard they said but it is still listed online on their amentities; no blow dryer because there were people stealing them but it still listed online on their amentities as you can rent one!! And we had to ask for the coffe machine because, you guessed it, there was no coffe machine in our room.nRegarding the location... it's a no no! You are at least 1,5klm away of everything if you are on foot but there is a bus stop near that gets you to the city center.

Very basic, but lacks hospitality:nWhen forgetting something you are totally on your own… Asked to have valuables sent but that was impossible due to their hotel policy. I offered of course to pay expenses and also extra for the hassle, but to no avail.

It seems to be good quality/price ratio...we stayed here several times and always room was very clean and quiet .. bathroom is spacious and good water pressure... there is a table with two chairs and sofa with coffee table in a room..bed matrasse is quite soft i like firmer ones but it was comfortable anyway...there is a toaster..eectric cattle..hair dryer. .i only missed microwave ...i think some ppl here are a bit too harsh in their review...fact that they have to park a bit further should not influence the review of the accommodation so bad:
