Växbo Lin

Wonderful high quality linen factory situated in a forest. One can see the factory floor through the glass windows in the shop, the shop itself has a fantastic range to choose from. Prices are high, but I suppose that's what one pays for quality. Worth a visit

High quality products only made in Sweden. Helpful staff and amazing location filled with nature walk and cafe. Amazing for family with or without children.

When traveling south from the Arctic Sea we wanted to avoid the E4 route as much as possible and this took us by the small village of Växbo close to the city of Bollnäs in the county of Hälsingland. The Växbo linen weaving mill is located in a modern corrugated building, red as it should be in this part of Sweden, and situated in the middle of the forest, away from the main road. You really need to know that it exists, something that one of our co-travelers did. The workers had left for the day, but we could still enter the production facilities and study the looms, most of which were set up for the next day. The shop offers a very large choice of exclusive linen products that may easily ruin you, if you would like to purchase a complete table set or stuff for you three bath-rooms. I was offered the possibility to buy shirts or a linen suit, but having been the owner of such things in the past, I knew that after having worn linen one morning only, you look as if you had been sleeping in your clothes for a week and kindly declined. We got away with a small selection of second sorting linen dish cloths, including printed instruction on how to finish and maintain them. Great place for an almost dead semi-industrial activity.

A nice little linen mill ? making and selling high quality stuff. For those interested in machine and industry history they have very cool old looms still working that you can study.nThe old water mill with café nearby is very picturesque and well worth a visit.

Nice shop, if you want to purchase some linnen. I did like the walk to town from here and looking at the machines
