The Viking Ship Museum was amazing. Three 9th century wooden boats - it’s amazing they have survived! I loved every minute I had here, and got some amazing videos as souvenirs. I learned a lot about the Vikings and consider this museum a highlight of my trip Oslo.Besøkte stedetPå en ukedagVentetidIngen ventetidForhåndsbestilling anbefalesIkke sikker
At first it can look a bit empty and even slightly disappointing that minimalist Scandinavian way but then you see the real Viking ships and start noticing all the support information all around. It's a very specific museum and one you can't find anywhere else.VentetidIngen ventetid

Great place with tons of history on display. Great findings from an era long gone. Ferry ride is lively also. You’ll need a bit more than an hour to wonder around. One of the most interesting things to do while in Oslo.Besøkte stedetPå en ukedagVentetidIngen ventetidForhåndsbestilling anbefalesIkke sikker
Wow, this museum was awe-inspiring! The building itself is not very large, but the artifacts inside really do a great job of using the available space. The Viking ships themselves have been preserved very well. The other artifacts expand on the historical knowledge and understanding of the time. The Viking Ship Museum is a must see if you are in the area!
I was confused by the fact that people were still posting recent reviews here, even though the Viking Ship Museum has been closed since 2021. So I wanted to clarify to everyone that you can’t see this museum or the viking ship, not even from the outside as construction is surrounding it. It is closed for renovations until 2027.Forhåndsbestilling anbefalesNei

The most amazing artifacts I have seen. We spent the entire day here because there is so much to see. An original village, ships, and art. So beautiful! I would love to live in the neighborhood surrounding the museum! —2016
Loved my time here, came around 4 years ago and returned recently with my wife who funnily enough I met here. Upon arrival we were very disappointed to find out it was Temporarily closed, because of this information my pregnant wife slapped me across the face, later this night the baby was birthed because I needed a miracle after this trauma and now little Renaldo is 5 months old : Would recommend.
