First of the positives: The hotel is in close proximity to the train station, as well as the city centre, which means a lot of shopping options eg. two ICAs and Galerian Nian are close by, so is a bus stop. Location: great!nThe beds are comfy, room was clean and the communication with the receptionist per eMail prior to arrival worked perfectly. The WiFi was quick and there were at least six places to charge your appliances.nnNow the partial negatives:nThe breakfast options were fairly little if you're vegetarian and almost non existent for vegans. It was delicious though. All the dairy products idk about the cheese, but the milk and yogurts were lactose free, which is a plus too. But you felt a bit stalked by the service staff when you ate in the last breakfast hour. The hotel is located next to a busy road, which meant it was quite noisy in the room whenever you opened the windows. The sink was tiny, and the room itself is also on the smaller side. All in all the hotel is alright, and I wouldn't mind staying here again. You just shouldn't expect too much.
So it's a simple, no frills but clean hotel. I'm giving them 5 stars because of the entire service experience which is really more important than the facilities. Had to get to Gävle on short notice. Called a few days ahead and was connected to Lina, the manager. She was extremely friendly, helpful, efficient and sorted us out. We arrived a couple of days later with an additional traveller. They sorted out a larger room with minimal fuss. Unfortunately the guests were still there so they found as another room - upgraded us, put us in a nicer room, gave us free parking and just made everything even easier. Very helpful and would recommend this place for a simple, comfortable stay!
The rooms are comfy. The breakfast is kinda minimal but good quality. The staff is super helpful, they even added vegan options to the breakfast on my request.
Great place. Possibly the best bed we had sleep in ages at hotels. City center is near and parking was easy. Breakfast was modest but they had everything we need. Thumbs up for this place.
Rooms are are small but okey. The breakfast also includes lactosefree dairy products.nThere are however ways they could reduce the amout of plastic used: for example the plastic single-use eggholders could be replaced.nThe windows are hard to open and close.
