Beautiful hotel in the middle of Gävle. Everything was within walking distance, which was awesome! The staff were really courteous and welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic, and even though we didn't eat dinner there, it looked really good when we walked by. The room was super clean, and the TV made it easy to cast from our laptop. Plus, the WiFi was fast and free! Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I'd definitely recommend it and am hoping to come back someday.
Gorgeous hotel! Central location and walking distance, just a minute and you are where you need to be. Easy parking. Bed and pillows were so comfortable. Loved the breakfast, excellent selection for every eater. Would definitely stay here next time.
I stayed for 3 nights. Positives: The breakfast was very good, alot of variety. Great location! Negatives: The rooms are still pretty dated. My carpet had stains, one was quite large. Duvet had stains as well. I'd expect the rooms to be in better condition for the rate they charge being one of the expensive ones. The parking costs alot too for the trouble it is to park there. It's so packed, the one morning I couldn't get out because people were parked in areas that were not a parking spot... so for the high cost of parking, it would be nice if they had regular checks of the parking area and act accordingly for wrongfully parked vehicles.
We have stayed at Elite Grand Hotel, Gävle many times over the years — whenever we travel through this part of Sweden. By now, we’ve likely stayed here more than half dozen times. The rooms are always clean, pleasantly furnished, quiet and well equipped. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and it’s especially nice that guests can request different pillow types if needed.nnThe hotel’s location is excellent: right in the centre of Gävle, next to the river and within easy walking distance of the train station, main shopping street and restaurants. It’s a convenient and beautiful spot that makes it easy to explore the area.nnThe breakfast room overlooks the river, offering a calm and scenic start to the day. The breakfast selection is generous and very tasty. We especially love the warm meatballs — a delicious and comforting option we always look forward to when visiting Sweden.nnDuring the Christmas season, the hotel is beautifully decorated. One of our favourite details over the years has been the large gingerbread house displayed on the main floor. They didn’t have it this year, but we hope it returns next season.nnParking can be a bit of an issue, especially during busy times, as the hotel’s own spots are limited. However, there are plenty of public parking options around the area, so it’s not a deal breaker — just something to keep in mind when arriving.nnThe staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, which truly enhances the experience and makes every stay enjoyable.nnElite Grand Hotel, Gävle remains one of our favourite places to stay in this region, and we look forward to returning many more times.
Nice hotel in very good and quiet location, few minutes walk from the city centre. Optional car park must be booked in advance just across the street. Very polite and helpful staff, nice spa area - hot tub and two saunas. Rooms are not too big, however the bed was comfortable. Mini bar with reasonable prices. No temperature control in the room is a minus. Bathroom with shower.
