Best Western Plus Kalmarsund Hotell

Excellent value for money. The key benefits about the hotel is its location and the free breakfast which is very good. That said, the rooms are VERY small. The lighting in the room is inadequate, there is no closet or shelves for clothes and just 4 electrical outlets in the room very inconveniently places. We had to keep the kettle on the window sill - the only way to use an electrical outlet. The mattress on the bed is soft but the rooms are comfortably warm. Free all day coffee and tea in the lobby. And free sparkling water. Laundry is per piece. Note, that Kalmar has no coin laundry. Staff are super helpful and friendly. The lounge area is very cosy and looks out on the road and is lovely to spend the evening sipping the free coffee

I visited this hotel two times.nBoth staying was great. The staff are nice and helpful. The rooms are clean.nGreat breakfast, with a great selection.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience much of the hotel aside from the room itself due to my late check-in and early departure.nThe room was overall okay, but a little bit rough around the edges, for example, the windows were poorly sealed and dirty.nOne main concern was there were no power outlets next to the bed, which is pretty much standard at any hotel you stay at.nThe bed itself was comfortable enough, it had an adjustable mattress, unfortunately, the controls were quite dusty when I actually went to go and use it. There were assorted pillows for different sleep types. There was also a fridge in the room.nIt was certainly better than another best western I stayed at in Copenhagen.nStaff were polite.nI can't comment on the breakfast as I never stopped for it.

The hotel is in a great location and surrounded by restaurants and bars.nThe rooms are very standard but clean and taken care of.nThey have rituals products for their guests which is a wonderful treat.nThe breakfast buffet is above all the best part of the stay.nOn the negative side is that we booked the hotel so we could use the spa they have which was closed. It wasn’t mentioned on their website which is not professional.nYou can hear sounds from the rooms next to your room and from upstairs.nThe room was cold during daytime.

In the centre of the town with all great cafes and restaurants nearby. Basic hotel rooms with most of the necessary items avaiable. Good for an overnight stay.Breakfast spread was good.Staff was kind. Recommended!
