Great staff and nice courtyard. It was a lovely stay. Always friendly and easy to get around the area. The room was cozy but had everything we needed. They have breakfast, fika and dinner. Only tried the breakfast so not sure how the other meals are. I’d come back and stay!
Poor hotel with even poorer service:n1 The food was awful. Although we had booked half-board, we usually ate dinner somewhere else because the dishes served in the hotel restaurant tasted so bad.n2 No free parking anywhere. The city of Jönköping charges you for parking everywhere including on the streets. The hotel itself charges its guests an even higher fee for using its own parking. Be aware of this when arriving by car.n3 No refrigerator in the room. That means we couldn't keep and enjoy our drinks cool.n4 Only 12 TV channels, all of them Swedish or Norwegian.nAltogether we had a really bad experience during the week we stayed at Hotel Victoria. We are certainly never coming back there again.
This is a great hotel. We spent 2 nights in a dog friendly basement room in the new building separate but just across a few metres from the original hotel.nnWe had booked a superior room but we were immediately contacted by the hotel to advise that they didn’t have any dog friendly superior rooms left. They offered us the basement room instead. It was big enough, nicely furnished, and had lots of hooks! A bugbear of mine is nowhere to hang anything in a hotel room…a bag, jacket etc etc. The room was quiet and cool as it had effective and quiet air conditioning. Also had a kettle and iron.nnThe bathroom and shower were fab. Huge lit mirror, power shower and loads of counter space. Nice touch providing Rituals toiletries.nnThe breakfast was plentiful and great variety. The included dinner was simple and plentiful and suited us but it hadn’t we would have eaten out as we felt that what we paid for the hotel was such good value anyway.nnThe gym is small but has enough equipment for a work out. Great, friendly staff on reception and in the courtyard. It didn’t bother us that the room wasn’t cleaned each day. We don’t need fresh towels everyday and for someone to make the bed everyday which I usually unmake anyway on return to the room.nnDog bed and bowl and treat provided for our dog. All in all a great place to stay.nnNote to the hotel…I wish you would sell the ‘do not disturb’ door hangers that you have for the doggos! I would have bought some of them!
Fabulous hotel, great staff, renovated rooms and overall great experience!nnWe had a delicious taco buffet included for dinner and a fantastic breakfast buffet. Definitely value for money, I recommendnnThe only thing I missed was a snart tv / option to chrome cast to tv
A well located, well maintained hotel with decent rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was as expected, mostly traditional full breakfast though slightly lacking in fresh fruit.
