Eskilstuna stadsmuseum

I really was not expecting such a nice exhibition and quality for free entry town museum. Really worth visiting. The history of building and it's machinery was really intriguing. Some of the texts were only on Swedish but it was pretty easy to understand what was happening. As an old factory the machinery looked still operational operable. It was mind blowing that they had such a educational and fun activity center for children. Actually hydraulic excavator/loader cabin. Highly recommend to visit!

Nice local museum, with friendly staff. It has several exhibitions covering Eskilstuna’s history. From its medieval past, through its industrial area until its most recent times. Has a small science area which is very interactive and fun. Also it has an exhibition in connection the city’s military manufacturing past which I found very compelling.

Nice playground for kids . All free and open 10-16 most of the days . Cafe just beside the play room.

Found this museum by chance whilst passing through the town. A very interesting place explaining the history of Eskilstuna and it's industrial heritage from files to firearms. Coming from the UK there was enough in English to keep me happy and Google translate did the rest. Shout out to Frederick who showed us where to go and what to see. It's free as well. Suitable for small kids and big kids alike.

Was here during the Steampunk festival. Very fitting since they have a lot of old steam engine machines there. They powered the engines during our visit. It was fun and interesting to see.
