Museum Eastern Södermanland Railway

Fantastic experience if you are train lover. Authentic old-fashioned station house, a real steam engine train, and even neat little tickets that the conductor comes to stamp, to boot. Slightly pricey but the outfit is run by volunteers/enthusiasts, so feels worth it. Ride is about 30 min round-trip, perfect for kids.

Östra Södermanlands Järnväg Ö.Sl.J., Eastern Södermanland Railway is a 600 mm  narrow gauge railway in Mariefred, Sweden. Steam-hauled passenger traffic is provided all days of the week during the summer.nOperations began on a small scale at the Lina brick works in Södertälje in 1959, until a chance to take over the recently closed Läggesta-Mariefred appeared in 1964.

Really amazing experience!! The steam train was really good, the staff was really helpful, while buying the tickets and also the people on the train. You can either choose to go till the Läggesta station or go up to Taxinge. You can go to Taxinge and return by a steam boat or go to Taxinge through the steam boat and come back through the steam train. Highly recommended.

Cool train ride! A must experience for those train nerds out there.
