Value for money hotel. Location is fantastic. Relaxation area is a big plus but it often doesn’t work even during the time when it claims it doesn’t. Some of the reception desk people are nice while some are not.
The hotel is okay, for the price we would have expected more. The bathroom is very basic and could be cleaner. Overall, the hotel looks more like 2 stars than 4. There was a window open in our room, but it could not be closed, as the windows are not supposed to be opened by guests. On request, we were given a window handle so that we could close the window. Even with the window closed, the noise from the street and a ventilation system could be heard.nnThe bar downstairs in the building is very nicely decorated and the staff was very nice as well. There is also parking nearby.
At the first glance, it looks as a good hotel. When you book, you 'discover' the perks: the softest mattress ever, 25 degrees in a room where heating temperature can't be modified the regulators on heating could be turned off, but nothing happened, 4 windows where neither of those could be open. I'd expect better comfort for that money.
Our stay here was made unforgettable by the dinning! Following recommendations by our hostess, Emma we enjoyed what was our best meal yet in Sweden. Superb and amazingly fresh oysters with Champagne as a starter moved on to a wonderfully prepared sizzling Porterhouse steak only to be topped by a delightful rosehips soup for dessert with a very pleasant Tokay accent.
Its ok. It could be better, for example air conditioning or an electric kettle in the room or the hot tub was not as clean as expected. But the staff are absolutely perfect, kind and friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also really really good. The attached restaurant and bar is gorgeous!
