Grand Hotel Marstrand

The location of the hotel is Amazing so it is perfect for a romantic date night closer to the city. The classic look of the restaurant, the gazebo and the view is best for a wedding ceremony dinner or office celebration party. The dishes taste great. Loved the apple pie . Must try the Irish

We went for dinner. It’s a big space buzzing with people. Food was great. Ate Onsen eggs in the starter and it was yumm. Main course was yummy too. But no option with chicken or vegetarian in the menu. Cocktails were made superb. Good place to sit cozy with a small view

Being proactive is key in the hospitality industry.nnHanding a room to a family of four with two children and not informing them that there is a nightclub that runs until 2 am as well as a 6 am cleanup crew right below the room qualifies for poor service. What makes it worse is to learn that they have plenty of other more quiet rooms available when we asked at 12:30 am about when the noise will stop.

Marstrand is a wonderful place but be prepared for a different mindset to the city. It is quiet, calm and relaxing and our room was excellent. This is a country hotel and so don't expect it to have every service. Lunch is not available and breakfast is sparse and finishes at 9am. It is expensive and although we expected a 5 star experience it is more like a 3 star hotel. However, I would highly recommend it for a relaxing time since the location and rooms are excellent and if you just want to enjoy the island walks and tranquillity then you have made the right choice. Facilities at the hotel are limited and although breakfast seemed sparse the restaurant was busy in the evening although we did not dine there. Free Wifi access is fine and very useful to have despite the attraction being a technology break it is useful to have some access and we were more inclined to only use it sparingly.nWe had the room with a balcony and sea view and I would say that this was an excellent choice and highly recommended. We certainly intend to return.

Very cosy hotel with classic-style rooms with unique features such as balconies, bathtubs and traditional tile stoves. High quality food in the restaurant will bring you a pleasant gastronomical experience.
