Stenungsbaden Yacht Club

This was my second visit to the spa. My first visit years ago was much better, but this time I was very disappointed. The outdoor sauna was unavailable without any information, and the main changing rooms were closed, so we were forced to use the gym’s changing room, which was not clean or acceptable.nWe expected a calm, relaxing morning, but instead there was a loud and crowded water class, again with no prior notice. Overall, this was a poor experience, and we will not be returning.

A really nice place for getaway, not too far from Gothenburg, but right next to the ocean. The facilities were clean and the staff were very customer service oriented. It gave us a very luxurious experience. The spa was also very nice with both indoor pool and outdoor pools, not to mention being next to the ocean allowed us to take a dip in the ocean with a nice sauna nearby.

For the hotel and the stay I would give 3 stars. It is a nice location with potentail but the rooms are worn out and especially the compact ones are far too small you can barely move in the bathroom and pricing is too high. Also the breakfast is just average and expectations would be higher for this price.nThe staff is very friendly but seems to be not on top of thinks nor do they take ownership for the customer experience.nI rate it one star less because recently a parking fee was introduced 100 SEK for a one night stay which seems to be rather greedy since there is no other alternative than going there by car also here the landlord was blamed by the staff and no ownership shown.

Food was good at dinner, but rest was bad. Place look old and dirty, cracks in wall, spiderwebs and dust everywhere.nnAC in room and dining make sound but not cooling. Was very hot, can’t recommend for older people in summer.nnFresh towels in room had something look like snot on it. Not ok.nnAlso dirty dishes left on many tables. “Spa” is just couple small pools, nothing special.nnOverall not worth money. Need lot of fixing and cleaning. Many better places around

Nice location, but a bit too far from town to walk. We were initially given a tiny, downright unpleasant room with a small TV and a dismal view. However, after we complained, we were upgraded to a splendid deluxe room for just 800 SEK more for two people. Staff were very helpful and service-minded. Fantastic beds, great view, and a nice included breakfast. The only drawback was that pricey restaurant only had one vegetarian option. Would recommend.
