Need some TLC.

Coming to Håverud's mansion was like stepping straight into history. Being able to sit on antique furniture during the good breakfast buffet, in this old historic building was a fantastic experience. It created a sense of lordship and servants. It was a joy to brush your hair in the morning at a dressing table from the 19th century and at the same time look out at the aqueduct that was built 150 years ago. Of course the bathrooms needed renovation and the garden some love but everything was clean and tidy. And best of all was the wonderful host couple. What a service, they helped to book a place on the canal boat, etc. A holiday worth remembering. The breakfast bread, freshly baked, is something I will miss.

We stayed here for one night after going on the Dalslandia canal boat. Very nice reception and good service from the host couple. Close to the pier and to the restaurant. Perfectly ok room and very good breakfast. Recommended.

Håverud is a wonderful gem, but skip the mansion.nVery worn and the beds gave bad backs. Worn out bathrooms.nThe breakfast was good if you ignore the fact that you were only allowed to have one! egg.nThis promise, and also a reprimand for borrowing pillows in the wrong way, the hostess happily handed out to her guests...nLike I said - avoid.
