Beautiful house in peaceful, picturesque surroundings.nSpacious rooms, good showers and well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and eating out beneath the tall trees.

I spent one night in the main house during my cycling holiday with Lisa and Steven. The room was small but perfectly formed, the bathroom facilities were fine, and the small breakfast buffet satisfied all my needs. The Canal Villa boasts an excellent location. Surrounded by the Dalsland Canal and directly adjacent to a lock, it's a fantastic place to observe the unique shipping traffic of this region and to unwind amidst nature and the water.nnThe rooms were clean, and the shared kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, including high chairs and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment.nnThe hosts were very accommodating they immediately provided a life jacket for our child so they could move around the grounds freely but safely, catered to our breakfast requests, and communication was seamless.nnIf you're looking for family-friendly hosts and a place to experience the Dalsland Canal in all its diversity fishing, swimming, canoeing/ferry rides, this is the perfect spot.nnPlease note: The Canal Villa has been under new management since the 2026 season.
