It’s a treat to order from a menu that celebrates entirely locally sourced ingredients! We enjoyed a perfect winter meal, ending on a sweet note with delicious ice cream made from last summer’s raspberries. The dining room is warm and inviting, with guests surrounded by shelves of beautifully preserved ingredients and intriguing ferments—a reflection of the restaurant’s dedication to seasonality and craftsmanship. This place is special. I recommend it to anyone visiting the area, and hope to come back in the summer!

Really nice, fresh and beautifully presented food in a quaint and rustic location, an old general store. I would say it’s THE place to eat if you are in Järvsö.

It’s a charming spot with great food where you can also pick up Some fantastic local Produce and crafts made by local artisans. Can’t recommend highly enough ! It wasn’t but the chef proprietor opened the kitchen for us specially - can’t express how much we appreciated this as we were travelling through with two young kids.nnWe all needed a moment of calm and a fine hot meal and that’s exactly what we enjoyed. It was also good to chat to the owner and hear a bit about how the place started.

We ordered a meal for lunch with burrata.nIt was really tasty but the quantity was way too less for the price. The meal looked highly gastronomic, which wasn’t aligned to the service level and the location.nWould not recommend it.

This restaurant is a real find. Chef Tobias Annerhult provides a creative, delicious take on strictly local ingredients with a menu that changes with the seasons and the day. Our group of four shared the small-plate offerings and loved them all, from salmon to sausage to burrata. The charming server suggested shnapps and wine pairings, perfect accompaniments to the unique dishes. Järvsö Lanthandel stands up to the best modern cuisine in any big city; better yet, it is here in the quiet Swedish paradise that is Järvsö.
