I had a great experience with Sixt! The check-in and pick-up were smooth, and the staff were super friendly, explaining everything clearly. I had an issue with a damaged tire, but the car was replaced quickly with no hassle – they even gave me another model within minutes. Customer service was excellent, answering all my questions via email. I highly recommend Sixt for their top-notch service!
Sadly, this was a very poor experience. We have used Sixt before, but this time we needed a rearward facing car seat and ordered it, with the car, a few weeks in advance not high season.nWe are not familiar with driving in central Stockholm, so arranged to collect the car from an office near the edge of town, to make it easier to get out without too much stress.nUnfortunately, when we were almost done with the paperwork, we were told that the car seat wasn’t in this branch, so we had to collect the car and drive through the centre of Stockholm to another branch to collect it. This unexpected and very unpleasant news was not welcome and should not have happened.nDue to the huge amount of road works currently in the centre of Stockholm, and the very poor instructions, it took us two stressful hours to get the car seat and get back to where we started. Luckily we were able to leave our toddler with family while doing this - how were we supposed to have driven around for two hours without a car seat otherwise????nShockingly poor service after we pre-booked this well in advance. We feel strongly that the car seat should have been brought to the office where we were collecting the car - this seems obvious. Also, we were driving using up diesel for which we are being made to pay, all because Sixt didn’t do their job.nThey offered to upgrade us to a bigger car, which we didn’t want. We wanted what we’d booked: a medium sized car WITH A CAR SEAT.
It was a very nice experience. the rent assistant was very professional and fully satisfied all our requests. We rent a Ford Focus. the car was with less than 10000 km and really enjoyable to drive, full optionals, full insurance, very big we where 4 with luggage for 10 days, with spike wheels and all of this for 850€. recommended :
I’m a corporate gold member and have certainly experienced a very good service at the counter. The car given for BMW war a Marc but looked old with bad driving experience. The airport at the terminal 5 doesn’t have proper signboard for rental cars for which Sixt can’t do anything. They however can put on portal / app directly their telephone no to contact. The description at the portal is also not sufficient. You need to come out of the airport terminal 4 and catch the yellow bus P2 to rental cars
Probably the best car rental experience we ever made. Victoria was great, very friendly and competent. In no time we had our car. We definitely recommend booking a mystery car!
