An exquisite restaurant to say the least. As an American, I wanted to find a place to try to Norwegian cuisine, and this was an exceptional choice. Admittedly, it is expensive, but one thing I needed to realize is that tipping is not customary in Europe. My meal and drink was about 38 USD, but to be fair that would be about the same in the USA including the tip.
We had such a great experience at Elias! Authentic Norwegian cuisine in a cozy and fine environment. Many thanks to the kind and attentive staff that took such good care of us and the chefs that cooked our food to perfection! We will be back
We really liked this restaurant. Despite the initial hesitation of seeing the Facebook and TripAdvisor notes everywhere, giving out a tourist trap vibe… Simple menu of local cuisine and ingredients. We stumbled across this place for lunch and returned for dinner the following day as we enjoyed the food and service. If in Oslo and want to try local dishes you should come here and for dinner reservation is essential. That said you could walk in and put your name down and go across the road for a drink whilst you wait. Reindeer stew was nicely seasoned and the meat was delicious. Turbot was cooked to perfection and the broth seasoned perfectly.
We came here during our honeymoon. The food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional. I loved the reindeer stew and the chocolate fondant. We highly recommend coming to this lovely restaurant!Mat: 5/5
I can’t remember the name of the creamy thing that served with fresh bread, but it was incredibly delicious. The salmon and caviar together were very tasty. Despite being a small business, it's quite expensive, but it's a great place to try fresh salmon in Norway

Really loved this traditional Norwegian style restaurant. The reindeer stew was excellent but the salmon was the best we’ve ever had. The drinks were delicious too especially the lingonberry tonic. The strawberry panna cotta was so light and refreshing. Highly recommend.Mat: 5/5
What a gem of a restaurant! A great place to try some Norwegian cuisine. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the flavours were so good! I have a big sweet tooth, so the panna cotta was hitting every sugary spot. I am so glad I visited this restaurant, and I’d highly recommend it. Remember to book - it’s a popular spot!Mat: 5/5
