Clarion Collection Hotel Drott

The staff was very welcoming and helpful from the beginning, but this hotel's biggest strengths are the rooms and location.nnThe room was very spacious compared to other hotels we had stayed at and there was little noise from adjacent rooms.nnThe location is also perfect for tourists, being very close to both the train station and the city center. Another big plus was the beer house next door for anyone looking for a few drinks before bed.nnAll in all, the hotel is a great choice for anyone visiting Karlstad.

By far the best hotel I've ever stayed at, big, clean rooms, incredible good food and very reasonable prices. Absolutely recommended!

No food choice even after writing on the booking for allergies. Dinner of the day description was just in the local language. The room looks good, but there is no smart TV and the Remote is a universal one that doesn't work very well.

Top marks to the staff. They are professional, attentive, personable and make a great effort to make sure that guests are well attended to. The hotel looks dated from the outside, the trimmings are not super luxurious but the comfort level is tops. We visited in Summer and enjoyed our spacious airconditioned room. The room is fresh, sheets clean, shower is nice and bed is comfortable.nnThe hotel included a complimentary supper. There is a different menu each evening. We found the food fresh, tasty, good quality and healthy. The breakfast was also very good with a selection of freshly baked breads and a continental spread.nnAlthough there were many guests, things are calm and relaxing. The food is topped up quickly and tables cleaned and cleared by the attentive staff.nnHighly recommended this hotel.

Hotel is in very good location, all shops very close. Receptionist was very nice and helpful. Food was tasty!nBut the room we got was not clean unfortunately. I found bunch of hair from the bathroom floor. Had to clean the floor before using shower. I should go and tell to reception which I didnt think about at all so I recommend always go and tell straight. Probably it all would be sorted without me cleaning it. Otherwise was nice stay!
