Clarion Hotel Sundsvall

Best hotel in town! Family room is spacious, clean with very comfy beds and pillows!nService is incredible, warm, sweet and super helpful! Malin at reception desk was extremely helpful fixing up a small hiccup with our breakfast. Thanks for making our stay so special!

In general, I would not stay in this hotel again. They are better hotel in Sundsvall at this price range and in the center.nn1 star because of the rude service in the front desk. First of all the lacking information on the website of strawberry that they have parking in the hotel. This is a misinformation. There is two parkings right next to the hotel, which in our case were full the first day. One of them is just an outside parking lot snd the second one is multi level parking house. However you have to pay for them if you are to stay over some hours. according to the internet 89kr for the open parking lot and 69kr for the parking lot per July 2026. However, when I asked the lady at the front desk why it is markedet as if the hotel offers parking, she was extremely rude and said it is accessible. After that I asked her question about the goods they sold at the reception and she was so ignorant and was like «we are out of stock», where there were clearly a lot of goods in boxes around. She did not care to check or inform us if they are getting a restock. 2 hours later when we swang buy at the reception the same good was already out of the box and out of nowhere you could buy it.nIt is the same as if they are to say they have a pool and you have to pay exes for it as well.nSecond, in the breakfast there were no tables available in the morning. There were several tables filled with dishes and it was difficult to say have finished breakfast or if they have finished and the cleaning service was slow. Especially rush hour it was very unpleasant not to be able to get access to a table without waiting. Third of all, at the bar of the top floor we were added a snack to our order without being informed. I noticed that later when I paid and I decided to check at the prices in the menu because I found it a bit higher than expected. Why the bartended added a snack without informing us that we have to pay it’s difficult to say.nIf you go to a bar and they give you a small plate with snacks it is usually complementary. In this case it was 97kr ;.nIn general, small details but they make difference.nThe bad service at the front desk doesn’t really make you fell «welcome».nAs to the rooms, they were fine. The only problem was that they were shaking when someone else in the hall closes they door.nLocation is good, but many other hotels in the area to chose from.

Wonderful stay in this hotel. Me and my wife had a great time. The hotel is modern and stylish. Great location in the middle of the city. Our favourite part must have been the breakfast. Super fresh and tasty and just look at these eggs it made our day A special shoutout to Jolie in the breakfast that gave extraordinary service with showing us around and even getting me gluten free pancakes even tho it’s not on the menu. We will definitely be coming back to this gem in the heart of Sundsvall

New building, very modern and comfortable. Nice roof terrace. Service mainly very good, but you only need one bad apple in the basket to ruin the experience...

Everything was very good as always in Clarion hotels. Clean rooms, very good breakfast with very big selection. Welcomes dogs.
