We happened upon this hotel driving through Sweden. Got in late and the staff was so helpful. The hotel was gorgeous. The room was beautiful and the location was magnificent. The pictures tell it all. I highly recommend

Location is great. Room is poor. Amenity is just average. Sound proof is terrible.nDefinitely need renovation.nShould not come back if hotel stays this way.

I recently attended a conference at Västerås stadshotell. Overall, I had a positive experience, but there were a few things that could have been improved.nnThe location of the hotel was perfect. It was within walking distance of all the major attractions in Västerås. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.nnHowever, the food at the restaurant was disappointing. The dishes were bland and uninspired.nnThe sound quality in the conference room was terrible. It was difficult to hear the speakers, even when they were speaking directly into the microphone. This made it difficult to follow the presentation.

Nice historical hotel with great location, great staff at the reception and a good breakfast with variety of foods. Very modest room, with not so well cleaned bathroom, facing the street on the ground level, that multiplied sounds of cars and pedestrians passing by, specially during the night. No so good sound proofing in general- got woken up by the sounds of high-heels in the middle of the night.nMaybe different room would not bother us so much and we would have better than just OK experience in general.
