Clarion Collection Hotel Post

Ok here is my detailed review after 6 days at this hotel....nnThe room is small yes but adequate for what I need, the bed is a single bed which I am not use to but it was comfortable enough that I slept well. I was here mid November and found it warm and had to keep windows open which cooled the room adequately. One fatal flaw was the wifi coverage in my room 110 was terrible and I had to come out of the room or the lobby to work or watch shows on the phone because I don't understand Swedish.nnThe breakfast and supper were included in the price so that is very reasonable and the food was good for me. The location of the hotel was perfect for our work event.nnNow what made the stay the best was the service. I had 1000 questions that were answered by an amazing staff member Sheryl. She was so helpful in advising me what the town had to offer, where I could purchase items and how to arrange my ride back to Kalmar. I would have probably given this place two or three stars but gave it 4 because of her service.nnIf I come back I will probably stay again.

Rooms were small. Washroom had adequate space. Service was okay. You need to ask a day in advance for room cleaning. The location was good.

Excellent hotel in a historic building right on the central square.nnNicely decorated to preserve the historic feel. Clean rooms and attentive staff. Dinner buffet included in the price. Excellent and varied breakfast.nnThere is no need to pay for hotel parking, as there is plenty of public parking on the square in front.

So we where invited for dinner at night. There where serving fried fish, potatoes and shripsallad. It wasn't really that good there where no drinks served to the food only water, so you had to buy it at the Pub, and they did not serve non carbon drinks, like juice, they where kind to fix some left from breakfast.nThe outdoor serving area was beside a parking lot in a courtyardnNot a very pleasant experience I would say.

We had a really nice stay and the interior design of this hotel is really pretty in comparison to many other Clarion Collection hotels we have stayed at. Very clean and cosy. The staff are really friendly and the food provided in the room price is good. The only reason why I’m not giving this stay 5 stars is because I couldn’t sleep all night due to a sign on the exterior outside our window swaying in the wind and making really loud noises. It was especially windy that night, however, it was clear the sign was loose and can be fixed. You could also hear kids running on the floor above us so the rooms aren’t particularly sound proof. But other than that we had a lovely stay and would stay again if we could request a room far away from that annoying sign!
