Restaurant Tradition

Atmosphere was excellent, and not busy on a January Tuesday night. Free bread and dips given to start, which was delicious. For mains I had the mushroom dumplings, never had anything like it and not sure if I enjoyed them. Dessert was Swedish chocolate cake which was divine. Service was excellent.

Restaurant Tradition was a really special experience. We started with the pumpkin soup, which was excellent and beautifully balanced. The traditional Swedish meatballs were full of flavor, especially with the sauce, and the mashed potatoes were perfect. I’m very particular about potatoes, so that says a lot. We finished with the kladdkaka, which was rich and delicious. What truly elevated the experience was the owner, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. His conversation and thoughtful recommendations made the meal feel more personal and memorable.

Every dish was exceptional, very fresh and extra tasty. The atmosphere was great. It would be nice for a restaurant of this kind to give towels instead of napkins but this is just a small detail-recommendation.nnI will definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends.

We had an excellent meal here. The Swedish meatballs were outstanding, easily the highlight of the evening. What truly set this place apart was the warmth and friendliness of the staff, genuinely welcoming and attentive. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it.

This was our choice for our traditional dinner while in Stockholm and we were not disappointed. We did have the meatballs and the potato dumplings with pork. Both were perfect. The staff was attentive, but not hovering. The dining room is laid out well. But food is why we were there. It was delicious and even the dessert was amazing. Would we eat there again? Yes, yes we would. Lovely location in Gamla Stan. Kudos to the staff!
