Trosa Stadshotell & Spa

Nice hotel, good food, super breakfast, super friendly staff, parking behind the hotel, great town, nice place. All good. Rooms are okay, family rooms a bit small. All clean, fresh and refurbished. Airco would perhaps be needed on warmer days. We had a good time and would certainly go back when in the area.

Great location and kind staff, but the room we were assigned came with a loud air cleaner and fresh air from the sewer. Hard to sleep due to the noise in the room and the awful stench from the bathroom. Asked to change rooms but the hotel was apparently full. Disappointed is an understatement.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and we really enjoyed every moment of the stay. The room was on the 1st floor close to the lift, which was concerning at first due to possible noise, but this was not at all the case. The room was very nicely furnished with a very good king size bed. The bathroom was big enough and lovely toiletries were available for use. In case of good weather it is possible to have a drink or a meal in the front yard of the hotel. Although we did not eat at the hotel it is clearly very popular and I would therefore recommend booking. In case of not so clement weather there are loads of very cosy rooms to sit in while sipping a coffee or a drink. The only minor point that I would like to bring up is breakfast. In general it was excellent with loads of choices... if they get restocked in time... The buffet is quite small and does not seem to be sized correctly to cater for a large number of guest turning up at the same time they do try to set a time for breakfast when checking in, but I doubt this works and to be honest I would only expect this in a resort hotel with 100's of people staying, not at high standing hotel , which resulted in empty offerings, or dishes, going from coffee to eggs, cheeses, etc.. Eventually the plates do get replenished, but this is only ok if you like to wait for everything which is a pity considering the standing of the place. This however did not tarnish our stay in any way and I would gladly go back should the opportunity arise.

Rooms were not that great lot of noise from outside inspite of almost like nomad land. Head Shower didn’t work at all and Heater wasn’t working either but was arranged with temp heater.nFood was really good and had awesome wine collection. Dont miss out a lovely dinner by the wine stacker for some cozy moments.nnThere was a very loud noise always in the ground floor as they have renovation going on for elevators!
