Europcar Kiruna

I had a very disappointing experience with Kiruna Europcar. They charged me the full deposit amount, claiming that the following detachable equipment was missing: boot cargo cover, flat tire equipment, warning triangle red, and carpet floor mats. However, I returned everything exactly as I received it.nnTo make matters worse, the car wasn’t properly cleaned when I picked it up, and there was no supervision during check-in or checkout, leaving no way to verify the condition of the car. I escalated the issue and communicated with the company early on, but despite my efforts, they have not issued a refund or provided a satisfactory explanation.nnAfter reading other reviews, it seems that this is not the first time such issues have happened. Many customers have reported similar experiences, particularly about nobody being present during check-in or inspection to confirm the condition of the car. This pattern of behavior reflects a serious lack of accountability and transparency.nnAs someone with significant experience renting cars, I can confidently say this has never happened to me before. I always handle rental cars properly and ensure all items are returned as received.nnWarning to potential customers: Be sure to take photos of everything, including the car’s interior and all detachable equipment, at both pick-up and drop-off to avoid falling victim to this kind of situation.nnI strongly advise others to avoid this company if you value your time and money.

We were told that normally we should pay additional charges for winter equipment. However, they are just offering free of charges. But it is Kiruna, if we were to drive a car without winter tires, it wouldn't be legal. Plus, the staff mentioned repeatedly that other customers tips. We travelled all over europe and never had a car rental company asking for tips before. So I was a bit disappointed in Europcar standard.

I always rent cars in Europcar everywhere. On this occasion in Sweden we had problems on the road with a moose and with the winter tires of the car that forced us to change our plans. In spite of all these problems we had a great experience and excellent response from Kiruna and Stockholm staff and the problem could be solved as quickly as possible. They took a serious attitude towards the situation. Thanks a lot.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this car rental. The stuff there was kind and helpful. Moreover the car had no problems and the return was also very smooth.
