The hotel owner is absolutely wonderful and makes extra efforts to make you feel comfortable. She gets a five star rating. We got a corner room that was pretty good. Big and very clean but the bed was too hard for me, and the pillow was too thin. We had dinner in their restaurant and to be honest it was a bit disappointing. The Swedish classic Toast Skagen was made with sourcream instead of mayo which made it too acidic and dry dill from a spice jar was used instead of fresh which affects the flavor considerably. The schnitzel was totally black burned on one side and came with a strange combo of red wine reduction and an incredibly garlic packed aioli, which unfortunately also was made on sourcream instead of mayo. The breakfast that others have praised in their reviews here was OK but far from great. I understand that this is a small hotel with just 10 rooms at low fares so a grand breakfast buffet is not financially viable. But some small changes would do wonders, like real bakery bread instead of pre sliced industry baked bread from the supermarket, real juices instead of cheap german concentrate juices etc. and just pouring them in glass pitchers instead of putting the cartons directly on the breakfast counter makes it nicer too. Would I stay here again? Well, I could eat elsewhere so that would solve that issue, but the hard bed kills the prospect for me.
This hotel is run by husband-wife and they were both very helpful. Lina was very humble and made us feel very comfortable. We liked the location of this place and the view from the roof top. The rooms were also pretty good and there are good food options in breakfast and dinner. Also thanks to Lina, she always did her best to meet our needs. This place has free parking.
Cozy but not very good food. The pasta and pizza was only okay but the Toast Skagen and garlic bread were tasteless. Tzatziki was good though. The staff acted like someone had died and refused to communicate in english, even with more than half of our company not speaking swedish. Just seems like a place to attract tourists.
A restaurant closes to the lake where you can enjoy your time with family and sunshine.
Nice small family run hotel with cosy rooms and good food. Nice bonus was freshly made breakfast pancakes for the kids, much appreciated :
