Grand Hotel

Really nice and cozy hotel located directly in the in the pedestrian zone. Lake Vättern is within walking distance.nThe hotel staff is very friendly and supportive. Rooms with really comfortable beds are clean.nI can recommend the Hotel if you don't need a high class and luxury hotel. This is a down-to-earth hotel with a good breakfast.

2 stars to bring attention to the scammy way of welcoming visitors of the hotel. When you come into a room you see what it looks like a typical complimentary drink, snack as it is for every Airbnb, no cookie though nor milk or sugar. Then you open a black book and you find out that you will have to pay 7,73€ for 1 small water, 1 coke, and tiny pack of chips, if you wouldn't stop there you might be charged even more, for wine and another bottle of water. Also brings attention to the lack of conditioner or lotion in the bathroom, thin walls so you can hear a party in another room. Other than that the hotel is nice, on the walls nice paintings, clean room apart from very old carpet that should have been thrown away. On the minus lack of hotel parking and again loud noise from adjoining rooms at 10pm.

The hotel lobby is nice. Centrally located. The beds were comfortable and shower was large for Sweden. The room was 2 single beds for my friend and I. It was small, but worked okay. Price was a bit high by Canadian standards. Location made it worth it. Wifi was reliable. Hotel directed us to alternate parking even after I emailed in advance for hotel parking, so that was a tad annoying. But overall, good place to stay.

Old musty smelling hotel in noisy location. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and the room was hot with little ventilation . Also, they don’t use a key card system so if you lose your key, they’ll threaten to charge you 3000 Kr each key!nnJoanna at the front desk is the only reasonable person at the front desk. The other two ladies, rather than provide assistance to helping me find the key in the room, hovered over me in an accusatory manner as I desperately searched my bags.nnRather than apologize for the situation, they write a review insinuating that my intent was to lose the keys so I can gain access to the garbage hotel after I returned to the states.. wow! I feel sorry for your marketing director because this is noteworthy customer service!! Bravo ladies!

Very quaint and understated hotel in center of Jonkoping. Right from the historic exterior, reception area, lobbies, dining room to guest rooms, everything seem to be well coordinated for warmth, comfort and Swedish hospitality and experience. Booking at the literally last minute we were surprised with accommodating staff.nnBesides accommodations, Grand Hotel is well known for its sumptuous Swedish breakfast spread. Set in a beautiful dining hall, morning breakfast was truly amazing. Thank you.
