The room was clean but it was very basic, even too much basic for this price. When we arrived, it was quite cold in the room so had to turn on the radiator and after 3 hours it was okayish.nnThere’s a kid playroom which is very very good for families.nnWe stayed on the 4th floor. The whole floor had a disgusting smell. Not sure what it was.nnThe breakfast was very good, it’s a firm 5* for it.
Quality Hotel Ekoxen is generally an okay hotel for the money. The hotel has a small underground parking garage under the hotel, with a direct elevator up. However, not if you live in the adjacent building, as you have to take several different elevators.nnThe room did seem a bit worn out, and could do with a renovation. There were holes in the curtains, among other things. The bathtub in the bathroom was incredibly uncomfortable to stand in. It creaked and moved while you were taking a shower, so much so that you were worried that it would break under you. The exhaust fan was quite noisy, and it was not possible to turn it off.nnBreakfast was as expected, nothing out of the ordinary, but a good breakfast buffet.
Watch out! They have deliveries at night which woke us up at 02:30 and carried on making noise for about 30mins. Reaction when we complained was to give us breakfast vouchers and state that they cannot avoid night deliveries, it is what it is, they should just be quieter during the delivery. I get the feeling they just wait until people complain but do not change what they do. If I had known before I would not have chosen this hotel. I shall not stay here again.
The bedroom lacks proper soundproofing, so be prepared to wake up early due to other guests slamming doors or the renovation work happening right outside. When I asked if I could change to another room, they said I could unless I paid an extra fee per day not so friendly at all. Other than that, the breakfast is good. You can probably find better hotels for the same price or even cheaper.
I had suite with 3 others. It was good for the price. Good breakfast but some stuff like muffins ran out every day
