When you book a superior room you expect something extra. At first this hotel looks nice with pool, outdoor seating area, but the hotel is several buildings each with several rooms. I think we got the worst room 610, direct to the parking lot and the first room at the entrance to the rest, so if you have the window open for the night, you can hear everybody come and go. There is a terrasse - not very private.nThe room is small, good bed and a rather small bathroom - but enough.nCoffee/teafacilities.nBreakfast area is fine and the food is good. Nothing extraordinary.nThe pool was not open in the morning even on a sunny day.nThe hotel is about 20 min. walk to downtown. There are restaurants close by. The best thing is the location close to the ferry.nI was disapointed.
Was organising an event and they were super helpful and nice and even managed to get us a conference room on short notice, along with rooms for event participants & organisers. When there the staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and happy. The food snacks breakfast lunch etc was great and the attention to dietary restrictions was refreshing. The vegan option I was given during our lunch really impressive. So much effort was involved in making each dish fit the spirit of the original. It was a Christmas lunch with many smaller dishes and instead of just removing or replacing things. Each dish felt like a dish with intent rather than just feeling like an afterthought which is something I very rarely see outside of vegan specific restaurants. When we were given fika and candy there were always plenty of options, and at one point when we were offered a specific candy that was not vegan the lovely lady serving our table went out of her way and found candy I could eat, it was really sweet of her! I have never had this great service before and I heard similar things from the attendees and the other organisers. We throughly enjoyed our stay and this will definitely be top of the list when planning future events in Visby.
They were very slow to restock when things ran out. The premises not adapted to the volume of guests, long queues. Cramped and impractical. Poor unloading area when picking up the accessories. Self wax down the surfaces very well.nVery nice and friendly staff at the reception.
A pleasant hotel located right in front of the harbor, perfect for those traveling with Destination Gotland, The hotel is split up into several buildings, the reception and restaurant are located at the entrance to the hotel, there is also an additional eating area for breakfast guests located at the other end of the property. In all there are around 8 buildings, one of the buildings has a relax with sauna and outdoor jacuzzi and outdoor swimming pool. A small children's playground located outside the main restaurant.nWe had adjoining rooms with 2 single beds in each. Comfortable beds with extra pillows. Unfortunately the bathroom was very small and compact, a material shower curtain, the floor did flood with every shower but was easy to dry up with it being so small. Our rooms were 524 & 526, I do believe from reading other reviews that some of the showers have glass doors. The rooms were clean and these rooms were located right by the elevator and stairs.nBreakfast was good with plenty of options for both meat eaters and vegetarians. Evening meals were very nice if you don't wish to eat out.nStaff were very helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking and I do believe they even offered parking with electric chargers.nA short walk into Visby town center and the most famous wall.
The hotel has several buildings and is very close to the boat terminal where you arrive. There is also a great pool and a good restaurant where you can have Fika or order beer or anything. We had Lax and breakfast buffe and those were great. It is also close to the beach and the Old Town around 15 minutes walk. The condition of room was also good.
