Security issue with another guess getting key card access and entering my room while I was asleep really shocked me - and I'm a guy.nHappened to another guest as well during my 3 day stay at the hotel.nFood was only slightly above average for hotels of this price range. You get better food and dining experience It is at the many restaurants in the city. Breakfast spread is more limited for hotels of this price range. Salad range is truly limited.nBed was too soft for someone with some slight back issues like me.nFirst night was fine. The other two were less comfortable.nBeing by the waterfront was really nice but it was a longer walk to the other attractions in the city.
We stayed at this hotel for the first time. The place to relax is great, the breakfast is also amazing, but before booking the room, there is no information about animals, only that they accept pets in the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that the room we booked was not intended for pets and before arriving we had to inform them about the animal by e-mail, but as I mentioned on the hotel page, only that pets are accepted and there is a possible fee, nothing else is mentioned about animals. Therefore, we were offered a cheaper room than we had booked, they did not pay us the difference between the rooms, only they did not charge a fee for the pet. The shower in the room I received was not completely clean, there were clumps of hair on the floor. First time in this hotel and last.
The view from the room onto the ferry harbour and straight to Denmark is the best thing about this hotel imho. The rooms are OK but the location especially on a cold and windy winters day isn’t great. Very little parking close to the hotel. The sea and wind makes the surrounding area great to look out at, but being outside is less then nice. On one of the five days when it’s not windy in Helsingborg it’s probably great though. Problems with Expedia prepaid at check out didn’t help the experience. Staff in restaurant was really good, both at dinner and breakfast.
The room size is ok. The problem I have is there were no fridge and phone inside the room. When I need help I have to go down from my room to receptionist. The view outside my window was an apartment building. However the rooftop or relaxing room was quite nice. You can literally see the view above the ocean. One more thing if you are looking for a pool this isn’t hotel for you.
The room is okay, but instead of providing an iron, they should offer some tea. This is one of the most stingy hotels I have ever stayed in. Plus, they should teach the receptionists to be more polite.
