Five stars because it was exactly what it needed to be, a travel hotel in a big city. I stayed here because I wanted to be able to walk to the ferry at a very early hour. Google did not prepare me for the detours needed to get past the construction.nI found the hotel to be an excellent stopping place.nThey were so kind to prepare me a box breakfast as I had to leave so very early that I could not hit their world class smorgasbord.
Wanted a hotel in Stockholm with parking. Parking was easy to pay for using Parkster app. Reception welcoming, room on 12th floor had amazing view, but the ability to open window even if limited would have been welcome. Beds comfortable, shower good. Did ask for clean towels daily, but they did not materialise. The area is under a lot of construction and apart from a supermarket there is nothing else. Breakfast is copious. Strange that once breakfast is over there seems to be nothing open for residents, no bar, lounge. Restaurant closed on Sundays so only food available are pizzas in the Sky bar when it opens at 16.00. Special thanks for their cheerfulness to a couple of restaurant staff - the lovely waitress from Nepal and the lady with red hair who cleared breakfast things.
Good hotel near Silja harbor. Could be grounded from time to time and you may need to wait for the elevator for a long time. Good breakfast!
Loads of minor sloppy issues and the location issue, but it is Scandic so still great nLocation because of the rebuilding of the port area really affects the hotel since it's basically for everyone getting on/off ferry's. Scandic should also put on signs around for walking since a lot of areas are blocked off now, and many walking there.nThe entrance door sensor was either off or just very bad, despite they claiming the door was open.nNo latte machine at breakfast only black coffee with cold milk available to add, I was just staying at Scandic in Gothenburg and it was slightly better in general, but the room here was much bigger than expected and had a fridge which was missing in my last one.nThe threshold to bathroom higher than expected and almost caused injury since its not the norm here, but spacious inside.nWith 17 floors, only three elevators is not great.nnTV was bigger than expected, spacious room, great products available, very environment friendly thinking and pets welcome. Worth it for ferry connection and big grocery store across the road
- Room heating was broken with freezing temps outside. We got offered extra blankets.n- Understaffed - service was very slow. Receiving olives in the bar or in the wellness took 20 minutes.n- Room TV had no casting, could only watch base channels.n- Okay breakfast for vegetarians, but mostly basic selections.n+ Good playing areas for kidsn+ Cheap
