We stayed at this hotel during our vacation in Sweden for several nights. We booked a superior room and there was nothing to complain about. The shower and bathroom is very nice, the room quite big and the minibar has all you need. We had one morning where we had quite to wait some time until someone from the staff came to get our order during the breakfast but that can happen. Otherwise a very pleasant stay in this luxurious hotel at a perfect location in the city.
Cozy hotel nestled among a bustling pedestrian street in Stockholm - very conveniently located with just a short walk from Gamla Stan and a
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The abundance of pillows adds a comedic but great touch because it makes sinking into the bed at night even better.nnThe drinks, dining, and breakfast are all must-tries.nnI can't recommend this hotel enough, and the location is excellent too!
Very rude and aloof breakfast staff. One example being waiting to be seated. When no one came we stepped in to the entrance only to then be sarcastically chastised for not being able to read the sign. Not worth the price compared to the standard of other Stockholm hotels in this price range.
The hotel street is a restricted NO car zone. If you need help, good luck. Waiting for taxi or Uber etc you need to walk up the street so don't stand in front of the hotel.nnThe rooms are extremely small. It was smaller than the Silja Symphony Ferry Commodore room with balcony. The room layout I had to either choose to use the luggage rack and walk sideways to get to the closet or forgo that. Closet is super small fits 1 person's clothes if you have a coat.nnThe bathroom is sizeable but that isn't where one spends more time. There is no bidet for the size of that bathroom, you'd think. There are no bathroom toiletries but they have it, just not there in the bathroom.nnHousekeeping is uneven if it exists. They wear 1 set of gloves, cleans the toilet then washes the mini bar cups and glasses with the same pair, fluffs your bed etc. I never saw them vacuum, I was there 4 nights. Towels are rough and well used. The mini bar doesn't get replenished, you have to ask. No tea bags, everything is an ask.nnHere's the rub, NO ONE ever picks up the phone. You can call and call. Every number. Restaurant is the only one to pick up the phone.nnRoom Service, you need your reservation number to order on their app which is a good alternative as they too don't pick up the phone.nnThe Smart TV has Chromecast but wifi is glitchy and slow. If you want to stream a movie it's a pain. The Marshall speaker is super cool but the electricity for the socket is dead. You have to use the standing light socket. So, choose light or music. It's also a huge box that eats up most of the table space.nnThe side chair and table faces the bed not TV. So only place to watch TV or your cast is on the bed.nnThe rug, don't look down. They have slippers.nnWindows don't open. Aircon or heat is antiquated and preset, an uncomfortable warm or cold. Just no gauge.nnWindow light is interior to the roofed yard. Great to sleep off hangovers.nnService: check in the young lady that looks like Amanda Seyforth has lapses in knowledge of the hotel information and your reservation. Suffice it to say, she was 100% wrong on our reservation and to ask her to get you towels, or tea or anything, as they don't answer their phones, you literally have to come downstairs to the receptionist to ask and it still won't happen.nnThe entire receptionist team has an attitude. Sheesh. I did like the overnight receptionist as he let me in door is locked of course and he was nice. He doubles as room service.nnThere is no concierge. Get over that. Simple request, even giving them the number to call is a hit and miss.nnFood. It is a limited room service menu. Identical to the bar. I had one meal at the restaurant. The maitre D a gender fluid LGTBQ was rude, dismissive, glacial. But, the wait staff was warmer, more like a North wind.. After all we are in the Nordics.nnFood, oil, oversaturated with dressing so that the lettuce wilted for my Nicoise salad, the pizza was drenched with some oil, the ham and tomato sandwich oddly was great but butter galore.nnBar staff very good. Full bar and cocktails. I would return for that.nnFor the price of this hotel, it is a wannabe luxury boutique. It has 1 thing going for it, location to shops, next door to fish market, and 5 minutes walking to the waterfront.nnI was duly ticked off by the 3rd night, this constant having to ask for basic service. The slow wifi, and the claustrophobic size of the room.nnI screen shot my prelim invoice as this is a truthful review and I stand by it.
