Elite Hotel Ideon, Lund

NOT RECOMMENDEDnUnfortunately, we were expecting a room to be worth its price 2K SEK with a pleasant view, but instead we received a room facing office spaces, where people were working and looking at us just 6–7 meters from our window. When we asked to change rooms, the reception offered us another room with a view of the parking lot.nWe asked to speak with the hotel manager. At first, the receptionist said manager was busy in a meeting, but after I sent a picture of the view from our room to him, he called the hotel and said he was at home, on sick leave. The hotel’s supervisor was also absent/at home and she refused to speak with the guest over the phone!nIs it part of Elite Hotels' procedure that there is no need for a manager to be present during daytime at the hotel which has 178 rooms?nAnd when the absent hotel manager and supervisor found out about this unfortunate incident, they were so arrogant that they didn't even bother to talk to guests.nWhen the hotel’s management refused to speak with the guest and resolve the issue, it became clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for the hotel.nOur rating for this hotel is 2/5. I usually enjoy staying at Elite Hotels, but this one ranks more in the middle compared to others. The location is rather remote, but the interior is tasteful, with nice rooms and comfortable beds. Unfortunately, the experience at the reception was disappointing: when we asked if it was possible to check in a bit earlier because we had a sick child, the staff member was not very helpful.

Although at the outskirts of Lund, access is easy by bus and super convenient by bike can be borrowed from reception for free. Excellent breakfast, clean and relaxing environment. Do not get discouraged by the distance to the centre

Avoid this hotel if you travel by car. 2hours after check-in at the hotel, our car looked like this.nMost disturbing is the fact, that the receptionist will kindly inform you about the hotel parking fees, but wouldn’t mention a single word, that they have a serious safety issue in the hotel’s garage.nCheck the other reviews here, this is not a one-time event but happens regularly since years. And the hotel management is doing nothing since years, to provide safe parking to their customers.nTo post the review we had to click a star, but it doesn't deserve one.

Great location for visiting my company location. Great lobby, with games, bar and sitting areas. Was surprised by size if room. Was expecting small and wasn't. If it matters, pay attention when booking, as some rooms have no windows. Bus to Lund center was right outside hotel and tram was a short walk.
