Elite Hotel Ideon, Lund

On our final night we realized that the door to our teenage daughter's room lacked a functioning lock to keep random people from wondering in. The front desk did not seem to think this was such a problem. The elevator service above the 11 th floor is limited. In addition we ate dinner in the restaurant one evening and the bouillabaisse seemed ketchup based with one small bit of fish and no vegetables. It was not the level we expect from Elite.

The room was large, quiet, and well equipped, but the shower didn't drain properly.nBreakfast was great with quick refills and a sufficient warm and cold buffet.nLocation is a bit outside of Lund but only 10minutes by bus or tram to the center

Poor air-conditioning - If you are sensitive to temperature, I do not recommend this hotel unless you don't have any other option and need to stay in this area.nnI had the misfortune of staying in this place in the middle of a cold spell for a long stay. The room was cold and thermostat deceptive and cold air was being blown in. I had wear socks, tights and a sweater despite it showing that it was 24.5 degrees. It was warmer in the corridor. Had horrible sleep my whole stay.nnRoom phones don't work, reception was not helpful. Cleaning was also subpar. Breakfast was good enough - nothing special

Only reviewing the Tareq Taylor Julbord experience, absolute let down. For 435kr you get hospital grade food. No seriously, the quality of ingredients was the biggest letdown everything felt like it wasn't homemade. I have nothing against the staff or the people who made this food, but for the people who organised this event it was a huge let down and a massive scam, I don't recommend it for anyone stay away, better to save that money to eat at brunch at Bjärred.

The experience on the julbord Christmas buffet was very disappointing for the price 485sek! First the food tasted like boiled , fish was very dried , the ham was processed from very low quality , the dessert mediocre ! for the price I would not recommend it , and the last but not least no special touch from Tarek Taylor : I even asked what was the idea behind ,no one could tell me !nI have to say the service was pleasant though ;nThe staff did their job but there is a real quality problem on the ingredients !
