Elite Hotel Savoy

Spent a couple of nights at this hotel for a short trip to Malmö to visit a convention in town. Whilst the hotel is bring renovated, everything is done to ensure the guests’ comfort.nnVery nice lady at the desk informed on local things to see, where my room was locatedwhich was a bit weird granted and how breakfast was handled.

Great location, but the hotel left much to be desired. For the 5+ hotel cost, you would expect a 5 STAR Hotel, but sadly it was more like a 2+ hostel, if that. Firstly, the wifi doesn't work.aybe you want a tea/coffee in the morning, sorry, the kettle doesn't work. Fancy a shower? all good, but expect the bathroom to be flooded by the time you're finished. Want to finish off with using a hairdryer, you'll have better luck drying it with the breath of a toddler. Would I stay here again for £200+ per night, No.

One of my favourite hotels in Sweden. The lobby and public areas are stylish and cozy. There are reminders of a noble history of the Savoy hotel all over the place.nnIt’s rare hotel in Sweden where the service and staff are great. Once there were problems with wifi in my room and I got a voucher for free breakfast at any Elite hotels as a compensation. Also, being a Gold member in Elite hotels, I am always recognised with upgrades and late check-outs.nnThe rooms are simple, but elegant. Some people write about outdated rooms, but all my stays were in renovated rooms historical building. Though some more light would be appreciated in the rooms.

Service varied from an unfriendly guy at reception to a girl which went out of her way to help. Te waiter in the dining room delivered a one man show...great service. Lift to small for the hotel size. Hotelfront under renovation.

Hotel, after 6 months of booking date, decided to inform that there is overbooking. This is ridiculous and made in order to charge higher rates during Eurovision. I do not recommend it at all cost as your reservation may be called off with no serious proposal to save the situation.
