Hotel Birger Jarl

We checked-in within few seconds using their self-service machine. The room was spacious and clean. The mattress and pillows were comfy.nThe neighbourhood is safe with plenty of dining and shopping options. Within a walking distance to the main touristic attractions. Will consider again whenever we are in Stockholm.

the hotel is renovated and it’s really modern, nice interior, the breakfasts were really good, wide selection of foods and the staff in the hotel was really helpful and nice. Would definitely come back next time visiting Stockholm! good location and loved the view

It is clean but just okay, not very comfortable.nThe location is perfect—in Normalm. It was clean and quiet.nTheir small double room has a bed that is too small for anyone, even those shorter than 160 cm. I couldn't figure out how Europeans could feel comfortable sleeping on it. So I would recommend booking for other rooms if you come as a couple.

This is a decent, clean, hotel but a bit expensive for the quality of experience. My stay was 2845 SEK/night. I hope that if you stay here that you can do so at a lower rate. Spacewise the rooms and bathrooms are a bit tight. There's a heater and no AC, but there is a plastic desk fan in case it gets hot. I don't know if it is standard but the chair that went with the small desk in my room was made out of plastic and had no cushioning. It's not the ideal setup for working on the go. Also note that because this hotel has its own restaurant, you can only enjoy food or drinks from the restaurant in the lobby. There's mini fridges in the room but no microwave. The walls are also a bit thin, so you can hear your neighbors. On the upside, the staff are friendly and helpful! The hotel also has great restaurants and shops within a 15 minute walking distance.

Great place!! The staff are above and beyond nice and helpful. The breakfast is world class, and the bar is wonderful. I was here for an event, and their conference space is just amazing! Only thing that was even a small problem was the lack of AC. Rooms were very hot and the window only opened a small amount. I chalk this up to: 1 I’m an American and I’m used to 68F rooms, and 2 it’s the few weeks a year that it’s warm there. They have a fan, place it well and you’ll be happy. The super friendly staff will make you forget all about it!
