Elite Hotel Adlon, Stockholm

DO NOT STAY HERE – ROBBERY & ZERO SECURITYnnMy partner and I had a horrific experience here that left us stranded, vulnerable, and completely let down by the hotel's management and staff. While dining at the hotel restaurant, we were ROBBED —our bags containing passports, money, valuables, a laptop, and all of our clothing were stolen right from under the hotel's nose. The real shock, however, was how little the staff cared and how incompetent they were in handling the situation.nnDespite our repeated pleas for help, the staff were reluctant to check the CCTV footage or contact the police. We had to push them multiple times before they finally took action, only for them to falsely claim that no one was seen leaving with our bags. The police, on the other hand, quickly found footage of the thief carrying our stolen belongings—so were the hotel staff lying or just utterly careless?nnTo make things worse, how does a homeless man, who clearly stands out, just waltz into the lobby, walk through to the restaurant, and exit with multiple bags, completely unchecked? Where was security? How is this acceptable in any hotel, let alone one that claims to provide a safe environment for guests?nnAdding insult to injury, after being robbed, we were left sitting in the lobby for over three hours while we scrambled to sort out insurance and emergency travel plans. The hotel was practically empty, yet no staff member bothered to check on us. We weren’t offered water, refreshments, or even access back to a room so we could rest while dealing with this nightmare. The complete lack of basic human decency was appalling.nnThis was not just an unfortunate incident—it was a complete failure of security, guest care, and professional responsibility. If you value your safety, your belongings, and basic hospitality, AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS.

Great location if you arrive by train. Also excellent to explore all major attractions of Stockholm by foot.nThe rooms in the newly built part are very nice even though the view is not that great.nThe best part about the hotel was the very friendly and helpful staff.nIf you are looking for a good value hotel you should consider this hotel.

Hotel is very situated in a very convenient location, about 2 minutes away from the Arlanda express. We booked a family room and were given a very average room with twin beds despite requesting a double and also a disabled bathroom, but after a quick chat at reception we were given a lovely spacious room.nI’d give the breakfast a 6.5/10 but there are plenty of options and it is by no means bad. Hotel restaurant has a good vibe and was always quite busy, when we ate there we were really happy with the food. Gym is about what you would expect for a hotel gym, has the basics and has a sauna attached to it which has to be turned on at reception.nOverall, we had a really nice stay and for the price we payed for the hotel, we would definitely stay again.

I was lucky. I got really good price including breakfast. I stayed one night during my weekends. Location is excellent. Right next to the central station and really close to shopping area. Service is superb. Gustav-reception- he helps me on my request a lot.nnonly one thing you may need to consider, the wall is thin. When a person next door close the door harshly or stump on the floor, you may hear it.

Lovely corner suite. Bathroom very small. TV didnt work for whole stay. Gym and sauna good for a hotel. Breakfast is absolute chaos and its hard to move despite the staggered sittings. Dont bother with the adjacent bar in the evenings, much politer places around.
