Scandic Wallin

Worst hotel experience. I travel for work so I stay in hotels a few times a week and usually have a decent night at Scandic. I wanted to test out this newly opened one since it looked nice but unfortunately around 22:00 my room began to vibrate from subwoofers. There is a concert hall on the first floor that blasts music past midnight. The reception had nothing to help me with, not even as much as earplugs. Stay away from this hotel if you plan on getting any sleep. The receptionist with blonde hair and braids was not only incompetent but doesn’t have a bone of service in her. 0 compensation and 0 solutions. Never coming back to this Scandic. Be solution oriented when renting rooms that you know are going to shake. Offer compensation and the least earplugs. You guys are a joke.

The room was fine, nice view and modern interior and bathroom. The service at the hotel is however very low. Examples: We ordered room cleaning two of the days. First day it was cleaned about 3:30pm and next cleaning they just didn’t do.nDuring the day, ONE person is handing the front desk AND the bar/cafe…nBreakfast is busy but fine, however if you go in at less by time some warm dishes are cold.

Great location right in the city center;nGood locker room where you can leave your luggage;nEnjoyed breakfasts a lot - good quality and a decent amount of choice;nThe room was big enough and it was fairly quiet compared to what I usually experience in other hotels;nnOn the downside - confirm the comments about room services and cleaning. No one has vacuumed under the armchair in a long time, it was all dusty. We have also asked to take out trash away, but were told that we need to book room service one day in advance. Seems a bit odd for a one minute task of getting the trash.nAlso one thing that I didn't completely like is that check-in time is at 16 and check-out at 12. So you basically waste 4 hours of a day on this. However, the hotel was quite flexible and we were able to check out one hour later. Thanks for that.nnSo overall, a very decent hotel and deserves a better rating here.

Amazing location, modern hotel with great rooms.nRight in the corner is the central road with all the shops, malls and coffees.nnWe booked online the cleaning, and it was done.nnWe didnt choose to take breakfast at the hotel, any of the 7 days, and as we saw, it was a good decision.nWe requested a room with view, and a pet friendly one, and they gave us a really nice room.nnMy only concern would be that there is totally no wardrobe on the room, and that the TV was not working, but as a total it was a great stay.nnPS. we booked the room on sale Black Friday which was perfect deal.

Great option for a weekend getaway in Stockholm. nnThe location is amazing - we basically walked everywhere and it’s also close to the bus/train terminal where you arrive to from the Arlanda airport.nnThe rooms was also really nice. Great views, comfy bed, big enough room so we could fit in with our 2 big suitcases. The only thing I didn’t like about the room was the open shower which kinda got wet the rest of the bathroom and the shower curtain was too small for the shower.nnWe didn’t try the breakfast so can’t comment on that.nnAnd you can store your luggage before checkin/after checkout. Beware that the early checkin fee is around 18 euro which I think is a bit steep but you can store your suitcase there for free so it wasn’t an issue for us.
