cool place to go with kids. the surrounding area is very beautiful, the building very charming. the museum has several trains from different eras, some you can enter inside. There is a mini subway for children but fortunately the journey is very short. You can get a good idea of what transport in Stockholm was like in the past. affordable entry price, the ticket costs 120 crowns. children do not pay.
I spent almost two hours here enjoying the interactive displays, the old uniforms, trams, buses, horse drawn street cars, ferry boat models and metro trains. All the displays have descriptions in Swedish and English.
The museum is full of history of transportation system in Stockholm. A tiny train ride paid is also an attraction for little kids. My daughter is 6 and enjoyed it. The museum is spanned over 3 levels. Showcases the trains, buses, some of the water transport system. Overall, engaging displays. Huge museum. Has lift. A cute coffee shop and as usual an area to have your own food. Lockers are available. Connectivity through bus is fine
Amazing transit museum. There was so many interactive things to do for my 3 and 5 year old. They had signs in Swedish and English which we really appreciated. The subway ride was affordable and my kids loved it. Very clean and new museum. It was easy to take the 75 bus from the center of Stockholm. The bus stop is right outside the building. I loved learning how public transportation changed in Stockholm over the years. A+
An interesting collection of vehicles from Stockholm's public transport past. Plenty to do for kids, so it's a good one to bring them to. Collections are interesting and there's lots of info on display. It's not enormous, you can see everything within a couple of hours.
