An old mansion with history turned into an art gallery. They hold permanent and temporary exhibitions. It's a beautiful spot. It got very busy around 13:00 to 14:00.

A rich banker bought some art then went bankrupt and sold it all to the state note he didn't donate it, he SOLD it. A great collection but the house is still a weird homage to the guy who owned the house - pictures of him, his second wife and very creepy kids in every room. Would be a much better museum without him since all he did was get rich and buy art. Time to let him fade into obscurity and let the art - Munch, Gaugin, Lautrec - speak for itself.
The gallery is the home of Thiel who collected a lot of paintings and works of art at the start of XX century. It is very interesting if you want to know something about the artists of Sweden and the paintings are amazing but it a pity because there are no explanations I English, so it is difficult to understand something for a tourist. Luckily also the staff is very friendly and they can give you informations.
